Lagos is entering full Detty December mode as five of the country’s biggest music powerhouses line up massive shows to close out 2025 in grand style.
Featuring stadium-capacity spectacles to Gen Z-driven street-pop vibes, the festive calendar is looking loaded.
With each artiste offering a unique sound and performance style, Lagos is once again proving why it remains the heartbeat of African music and the ultimate December destination for world-class entertainment.
Let’s dive into five of the major concerts scheduled for December amongst many others :
1. Wizkid
Wizkid leads the season with his Greatest of All Time Experience happening on December 28 at Tafawa Balewa Square in Marina, Lagos. The concert is already stirring massive buzz as fans prepare for a rare Lagos homecoming. The show will feature a full live band and is expected to include surprise guest appearances from some of Nigeria’s top artistes, making it one of the most anticipated events of the season.
2. Davido
Davido brings his 5ive Alive tour to Lagos on December 25 at the Eko Convention Centre, Victoria Island. A Christmas Day Davido show has become a staple in the city and this year’s edition is expected to be packed. Flytime Fest, the platform hosting his show, is known for multi-artist lineups, so fans can expect cameo performances and other major acts alongside him, making the festive night even more electric.
3. Asake
Asake performs on December 24 at the Eko Convention Centre, Victoria Island, as part of Flytime Fest 2025. This marks his first major Lagos show in two years. Known for high-energy sets, choir-backed vocals, and his signature Amapiano-fusion sound, his return is one of the most anticipated events of the month. He is expected to share the stage with festival guest acts, adding extra star power to his performance.
4. Fireboy DML
Fireboy DML takes the stage on December 28 at Expo Hall, Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. His show will feature a full live band and promises surprise guest appearances from some of his musical collaborators. Fans can expect his trademark blend of soulful Afropop with energetic performances, delivering both emotional and high-energy moments.
5. Shallipopi
Shallipopi headlines the final night of Iconiq Fest 2025 from December 18 to 20. The concert takes place in Lagos and features other major artistes including Chike, BNXN (formerly Buju), Famous Pluto, and ZerryDL. His performance promises street-pop energy, viral hits, and Edo-influenced sounds that keep the crowd dancing all night, making it a highlight for younger audiences.
